DILLY DILLY

This past Thanksgiving we continued our canning tradition at Gran and Gramp's on Sonoma Mountain Road.  This year we yielded 20 jars of homemade dilly goodness to give as Holiday gifts and to snack on ourselves.  Yum.

SANTA CRUZ

Speaking of New Years, we took a road trip north to ring in the Holiday in Santa Cruz with our good friends, the Dudley's and the Cooney's.  The weather was better than we ever could have imagined so we enjoyed our days at the beach, took long walks, cooked yummy meals, marveled at the sunsets and hit up the Santa Cruz boardwalk.  The moms even treated ourselves to an afternoon at the spa as a special New Year's treat.  On the way home, we meandered down Highway 1 and Annabelle got her first taste of Big Sur.  All in all, it was an amazing weekend and the perfect way to welcome a fresh new year.

RESOLUTIONS

We are almost half way through the first month of year and New Year's resolutions have been on my mind.  My initial resolution was for patience and to be accepting of the new opportunities that enter our lives.  Tonight as Annabelle was playing in the bath, I flipped through a magazine and came across an ad that read:

Get born.
Find a group.
Find a job.
Find the one.
Have one.
Have two.
Roast a chicken.
Cut bangs.
Run.
Breathe.
Relax.
Run a 5K.
Run a 10K.
Crunch.
Listen. Listen. Listen.
Be loved.
Look lovely.
Do good.
Give back.

Aside from finding the one and roasting a chicken, I thought to myself, "Absolutely, yes! What fabulous resolutions for 2012."  I will remain true to my original resolution, however now have a slightly longer list.
